SSC CHSL 2024 Mode of Selection

SSC CHSL 2024 Tier-I Minimum Qualifying Marks and Selection Criteria

Minimum Qualifying Marks:

  • UR: 30%
  • OBC/EWS: 25%
  • All other categories: 20%

These marks apply to Tier-I, Section-I, Section-II, and Module-I of Section-III of the Tier-II Examination.

Shortlisting for Tier-II:
  • Candidates will be shortlisted for Tier-II based on their performance in Tier-I.
  • Normalized scores will be used to determine merit and final selection.
  • There may be separate category-wise cut-offs for different posts (e.g., DEO/DEO Grade ‘A’ and LDC/JSA).

Tier-II Examination:

  • All qualified Tier-I candidates must appear in all three sections of Tier-II.
  • Candidates must qualify in all sections of Tier-II.

Shortlisting for Section-III of Tier-II:

  • Candidates will be shortlisted for Section-III of Tier-II based on their aggregate performance in Section-I and Section-II.
  • Those who do not qualify in Section-I + Section-II will not be eligible for Section-III or further selection.

Section-III of Tier-II:

  • Qualifying in nature.
  • Both modules (Computer Knowledge Test and Skill Test/Typing Test) are qualifying.
  • Skill Test for DEOs is mandatory for all qualified candidates.
  • Typing Test for non-DEO posts is mandatory for all candidates except those exempted by the notification.

SSC CHSL 2024 Tier 1 Result and Cut Off Merit List

Merit List:

  • The merit list will be based solely on the overall performance in Tier-II Examination.
  • Candidates must qualify in Section-III (both modules) of Tier-II to be considered.
  • The merit list will be prepared based on aggregate marks in Section-I and Section-II of Tier-II.

Final Selection:

  • Final selection will be based on both ‘overall performance in Tier-II Examination’ and the ‘preference of posts’ indicated by the candidates.
  • The selection will be made within each category.

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has successfully conducted the online Tier-I exam for the Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) Examination 2024 between July 1st and 11th. Here’s how to check your results:

1. Visit the SSC Official Website: Head to https://ssc.nic.in/.

2. Find the Results Section: On the homepage, locate the “Results” section under the navigation bar.

3. Click on the CHSL Tab: Within the “Results” section, navigate to the “CHSL” tab.

4. Locate Your Exam: You’ll see a table with details like “Uploaded Date,” “Examination Name and Year,” and “Result.” Click on the link under “Examination Name and Year” that corresponds to “Combined Higher Secondary Level Examination (Tier-I), 2024.”

5. Download and Search Your Results: The results will be downloaded as a PDF file. You can search for your results using:

  • Computer:  Press “Ctrl + F” and enter your roll number.
  • Mobile Phone: Use the search function within your PDF reader app and enter your roll number.

6. Check for Selection and Scorecard: If you find your roll number highlighted with your name, you’ve been shortlisted for the next stage! You can access your scorecard later by logging into the SSC portal and checking your dashboard.
